your birthday party
I closed my eyes and took you out for your birthday. I showed you this room filled with red and stone. we caressed each arch and traced every marking on the walls with our tongues. we breathed in each shadow. we warmed the laps of our new found lovers. we lost our heads and fell in love for one thousand years.. until we remembered we had to celebrate! so we invited the birds to bring in the night. and as they came through the window we captured a few of the night's stars on our fingertips.

you are the reason that frienship sasiates my soul in a way that makes me yearn to create and to be in your arms.
